Worthog is a free, independent service. By using it, you agree to these terms.
What this is
Worthog lets you record what your accounts are worth and see your total and trend over time. It does not connect to a bank or verify the figures you enter.
This is not financial advice
Worthog does not give financial advice or recommend that you buy, sell, hold or do anything else with your money. Its milestone projections apply simple calculations to the figures you enter and assume recent changes continue. Treat them as rough illustrations, not forecasts. If you need advice, speak to someone regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Your account
- Give a real email address you can receive mail at. Confirming it is how the account is opened, and how a forgotten password is reset.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done with your sign-in is treated as done by you.
- One person per account. Do not use it to store someone else’s financial information without their knowledge.
- Do not attack the service, try to reach another account’s data, or automate against it in a way that degrades it for anyone else.
Your data is yours
Everything you record stays yours. Worthog does not claim ownership of it or use it for anything except providing the service to you. Export it whenever you like. Read how Worthog handles it in the privacy notice.
Keep your own copy
Keep a recent export somewhere you control. Worthog is a small, free service and cannot guarantee that it will always be available, correct or operating. If your figures matter to you, do not keep the only copy here.
What Worthog cannot promise
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Worthog cannot promise uptime, error-free calculations or that data will never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we do not accept liability for any loss arising from using it, including loss of data or any decision taken on the strength of what it displayed. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can stop using Worthog at any time and ask us to erase your account and ledger. We may suspend or close an account used to attack the service or break the law. If Worthog is going to shut down, we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand so they can export their data.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects you, we will email you before it takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, that does not take away rights you have under the law of where you live.
